Welcome to our fast club. This will be the second group fast together.
I recommend you finish dinner at 6pm and from there on you will consume only water, herbal teas or black coffee for the next 24 hours! If you can make it to the next morning, the good news is you are already half way there.
At 12 hours your body reaches ketosis... this means that your body is running on ketones rather than glucose.
The last time I fasted, I felt that I drank a bit too much coffee and felt fatigued for this, so me personally, I am going to focus more on herbal teas and water and limit my coffee to one mid morning.
If you do feel faint at anytime, you can have an avocado as it won't break the ketosis bit of the fast and might be able to help you go longer. But I am doing the fast to shut the digestive system down, so if you can, try to avoid.
Please have you dinner for tomorrow night prepared which I advise chicken broth soup with some avocado, or a vegetable soup and avocado if you are vegetarian. You could also break the fast with some tofu or chicken warmed up. I also found I was still hungry after dinner and had a chocolate flavoured protein shake ready!!
