Welcome your fast is about to begin at 6pm.

Welcome to our fast club. This will be the second group fast together. I recommend you finish dinner at 6pm and from there on you will consume only water, herbal teas or black coffee for the next 24 hours! If you can make it to the next morning, the good news is you are already half way there. At 12 hours your body reaches ketosis... this means that your body is running on ketones rather than glucose. The last time I fasted, I felt that I drank a bit too much coffee and felt fatigued for this, so me personally, I am going to focus more on herbal teas and water and limit my coffee to one mid morning. If you do feel faint at anytime, you can have an avocado as it won't break the ketosis bit of the fast…

I made it! About 6 hours left I started to get a head ache. I was also feeling very forgetful. It did pass though. Ended the fast with a chicken salad with homemade dressing.

Ideas for dinner... I had grilled chicken with salad and broccoli. I used balsamic and olive oil for the dressing... with some beetroot juice in a wine glass to make it feel a bit more special.... The family had the pasta and bread! Tomorrow Ill have breakfast as normal, wholegrain toast with almond butter and pumpkin seeds.

I was getting really tired but after I ate I had a burst of energy but then I got super tired again. Probably the digestion energy. Food tasted really good so much better. And this morning someone told me I looked very refreshed.

Most of you should be finishing soon. I am so proud of you! Even if you didn't make 24 hours... I know most of you climbed a wall you've never climbed before.... and next time you will go further... the important thing is you made the first step and your body will thank you.

Enjoy your dinner... I am ready in fact for bed!!

Tuna and celery with some guac

I started at 7 so 2 hours and twenty mins to go. I’ve just had a Black coffee which is my third today 😩

I went to the supermarket and of course they are out of avocados! So it will have to be olives, red pepper, cottage cheese and some guacamole to break my fast. Its very easy to go on a full binge after fasting, so try to stay relaxed.... stick with some healthy fats and proteins... peppers are also low carb. Dont break it with nuts or fruit. A bone or veg broth would also be a good one. You could also just have a protein shake as long as its clean with no sugars.
